10 years ago. Save. Yes, Termini station is a bit far out. It's northeast of the center of Rome. I paid about 20 euros for a taxi to Tiburtina from the Vatican area once, to give an idea of the distance. That was very early in the morning, before the metro was running. Normally I would take the metro there.
